Paul..it's like adding horsepower to your car these days while gasoline sells for under a buck!A pentium 3 is more bang for your buck.BTW,my Gateway bought 2 years ago works fine with a 133 MHz Intel chip.Oh well......my next computer will be juiced up.

Paul, name four popular applications (no games) that the average home user would see SIGNIFICANT performance improvement by switching from a P-II computer to a P-III.

Convince me to buy the P-III. I bought every other chip Intel has ever made except the 286. Will I be glad that I bought it to run my existing programs, Excel, Word, Access, Quicken, Visual Basic? Will I say "wow, what a difference this P-III makes running Quicken 99"?
