Here are some interesting links describing the current status of the broadcaster's conversion to digital programming and other items which could have a positive impact on the utilization of Ampex's core competencies. Given Ampex's expertise in vast digital storage techniques and the variety of other initiatives mentioned on this board , this presents further proof that we are in an extremely good position to capitalize on the onrushing digital revolution. IMO

This link details the number of television stations that have already converted to digital programming (51), also the location, market size, and call letters. To date, 40% of all television households are being reached (not necessarily tuned in at present). Projections are that by November of this year, digital signals will be reaching 60% of all television households.
