jim, correct. the other factor is that the price of systems doesn't matter - it is the price of what people buy. sub $1ks are growing exponentially and continue to do so. i still argue that even with all the upgrades, etc (and free monitors and printers) asps are down more than 15%.

remember, the asp number is important. the boxmakers will do ALL in their power to boost the number. to not think so would be naive. so, they do their best to manipulate the number and get 1%! ;-)

i guess toward the end of march we get the actual pc "growth" number. the 1% was a preliminary number. let's see if it holds.
