Banks' Asia Loan Assets Plunging In

TOKYO (Nikkei)--The market value of loan assets held by
Japanese banks in other parts of Asia has fallen sharply amid
growing hesitance among U.S. hedge funds to invest in the
region and the failure of some Chinese financial institutions,
international finance sources say.
