Saturn, was there not a coffin taken to Comdex?? I seem to recall some such trickery a few years back.
National will sink or swim due to other areas than the cyrix effect. tghe crash in semis at all levels hurt their margins, not just Cyrix and the low end fight.

Cyrix is now on the verge of sinking National Semi

National Semiconductor is not going away. Neither is AMD.

Where do these Intel fantasies come from?

Saturn V - Re: " Cyrix is now on the verge of sinking National Semi also. "

Of course, Brian Hallapeno, NSM CEO, has to take most of the blame for this.

I saw in one ad, "Intel Inside" has been changed to "Intel In Charge". I think Intel is trying to promote PIII as a superior processor to any thing else.
