CM--Thanks for the interesting and thoughtful post. I'm with you on the salsa reference to chips, and I agree that there's no guarantees that our investment in WAVX couldn't turn to zippo, unlikely as I believe that possibility to be.

I share your comfort in the alliance with H-P, though, and believe that in the end the OEM's won't be able to turn down Wave's promised revenue stream down, particularly not with reduced margins coming their way...

Hey, you sound like you know a lot about this company. A friend asked me to check it out--he seems to think it has a bright future. Wants me to invest 15% of my, not very liquid, assets into it... Wondering if it was started by the Spragues of Sprague Electric? If so, you would of thought they'd be into hardware.

Anyway, this Austinite, is in the ad business, and thinks he knows something about the paradigms of the future marketplace and human connectivity. How it's all going to revolutionize everything from communications to tit bars. Thinks what we're currently experiencing is blue algae on the evolutionary timeline. Very Wow. He's a big thinker. Kinda like yourself.

Is e-commerce the future? IBM would have us think so. They do a lot of thinking at Big Blue so I'm wondering if we have a Blue Wave or a sani-flush? I'd be interested in laying some money down on this one if Big Blue is licensing Wave's wares. I'd make a gigabuy in a minute. Catch the Wave?

I live pretty close to Lee, MA and will vet their digs and the female talent. They're hiring cause they have an ad in the Albany paper for the following positions:

Product Marketing Mgr
Merchandising Mgr
Market Researchers
Departmental Secretaries
Graphic Designers/Publishers
Back Office Transaction Processing/Operations Support
Entry-level Accountants
Customer Service Reps
MIS Support Person

I'd give 'em a resume if there was more in Lee besides rich liberals from the NY and Boston metros.

Anyway, I like what I see on this company. They can certainly stayed focused on their business in Lee. Not like living in Austin...

Another interesting company that is close by is Intermagnetics General (IMG). Very future.
