little Gorilia....Viagra was the fastest selling new drug in the USA in 1998...and only on the market for part of 1998.

Part of those sales are for the black market to sell overseas before countries approved Viagra.

Part was and still is abuse ...using Viagra by people that do not have ED but are looking for an added boost.

The weekly script count has fallen off since the initial sales...
at the current rate it will rank some where in the top 40-50 in USA sales for 1999 IMO.

Little Gorilla: You are certainly right, Viagra is not even close to be the # 1 drug in Rxs or sales.

Probably this confusing reference is comparing Viagra to other new pharmaceutical products during their first 9 months on the market.
