I'm staying away from Gentex and Donnelly. Donnelly hasn't shown a turnaround, although they convinced a writer in Forbes this week that they got it right this time. The article is an amusing chronicle of all the failed management fads they've tried in the last few years. I'm staying away from Gentex partly due to the potential for a price war that would erode margins and partly because of the huge insider selling listed at biz.yahoo.com. Gentex management used to work at Donnelly and I'm sure there's a very good reason why so many of them are dumping huge amounts of shares. Most strong growing companies flame out temporarily or permanently for one reason or another sooner or later. Gentex is too risky.
