Sure can, Colin

Very well could be.

Another interesting thing, long term, is that if you compare the total no of shares of stock trading publicly today v. 2.5 years ago, I believe the number has almost stayed the same, due to buybacks, M&As, and periodic lulls in ipo activity. However, with increasing amounts of 401k money and large amounts of cash all around, the amount of money chasing these shares is much greater than it was 2 or 3 yrs ago. So imo it's almost like inevitable inflation of stock prices, and it is not all due to newcomers or daytraders. It is simply supply and demand.

(now I'll get off my soapbox!)
