John,

You are right.

However, one will be Commerce and will be the beneficiary of the other.

Investing in this sector will never be a Zero Sum game. There are many winners.

While I agree with your fundamental perspective about low price stocks, you would be wise not to make a blanket statement. There a numerous Amazons gestating in this low priced jungle. Whether for acquisition or plain old fashioned Jack-In-the-Beanstalk rapid-holy-cow growth.

Marketing in the Internet arena is and will continue to be absolute war, and the battle lines haven't even been drawn yet. Re-definition will be the order of the day.

If you locate the treasure, I believe that the subject of the hunt will prove me right in this.

Zorro.

<<<This is why when I made up my list, I went heavy in the bandwidth/ infrastructure issue
stocks such as CSCO, ATHM and CMTO. The bottom line is, company like CSCO,
LU/ASND and others power the internet. >>>

In agreement. Rather play there than in the more competitive eyeball catching arena. The above win no matter who wins or loses on the commerce side of the coin.

First followed some of your comments, in the summer, when you pounded the table on timing Investment House analysis after their quiet periods ( that time after they brought an IPO to market ). Worked out well, then.

Seems to me that that scenario doesen't pack the same punch it once did. Though I bought UPCOY last week on its similarity to @Home and the exponential growth in INET use in Europe, still hoping that when the quiet period ends in a week or so, we at least get a murmur.

Speaking of bandwidth, are you eyeing some of the more pure plays in that arena?: GBLX, IIXC, QWST....
