weak world demand didn't help. however, price cuts on components just don't fit in. period. if the boxmakers thought revs would be up more by holding prices then they would have held prices. it is supply and demand with stronger supply relative to demand driving down prices.

i knew it! ;-) you've been so defensive b/c you like dell. i was never talking about dell. i even said dell could do well. all i said is that it is less likely when the pie is shrinking. btw, components are going up (dds and dram) and box prices keep falling.
