Bob Pisani comes on CNBC at the close today and says the big buying on COMS at the end of the day is a "really positive sign for the market".

People watch this and believe it. Yesterday, Maria Bartaromo said that investors "may want to stay away from ORCL".

These people are giving out investment advice, and they don't know diddly. Then they claim they don't have an effect on the market, they are just reporting.

Bob, if you're reading this, that thing on COMS this afternoon was some institutional nibbling that caused a fast short squeeze on the day traders. COMS is around a 4 year low, Bob. Not "really good for the market" Bob. Buy some OEX calls, Bob, and watch what happens before you say stuff like that, will ya?

Maria, buy some puts on ORCL and watch what happens before you give your next call.

Sheesh.
