Yes, but we want to learn too, so you should keep talking. You have pretty much isolated the "$64,000 question" ...

It was my understanding that a fear of reduced sales for the 1st qtr was driving the panic. If it is merely a matter that they are transitioning to the next chip improvement, wont there still be a market for the last generation.

IF CPQ (including the channel) has too PCs laying around with PIIs in them, is there enough demand to get rid of them without significantly reducing earnings? My guess right now would be NO. Why? Because if Y2K is a big factor in driving new purchases this year (and I think it is), then those companies are going to want buy the latest and greatest. JMO.
