What is your take of inventory in December being pushed into January now.
It looks like CPQ got it right for once, since there was little likelihood that they could have predicted the soft January. Moving 2 days of shipments would have bulked up January by 7%, in retrospect a great move.
BTW I suspect that the slowdown was due to both corporate and consumer customers waiting for PIII products. CPQ appears to have made the same bet - they seemed to have cut over hard to PIII production early. We'll have to see how that plays out but if CPQ used their buying clout to lock up a big bunch of PIII production that could be a big win.
