Tippet you missed the point. The point is that we do not know what revenues were, nor do we know the ASP. Why do we not know the ASP? Simple. IDC and Dataquest measure sales out of the factory. They are not measuring sales to the final consumer. Sales into the channel distort the numbers substantially for several reasons, not the least of which are the propensity of some companies to stuff the channel and offer price protection to channel members. Now look at Dell's ASP this year compared to last year. There are no sales to channels to muck up the works. I don't know what the answer is. My point was, and is, that assumptions are a dangerous game.
