I think Aprils will do fine on the PCs, skeeter. Heck look at the haircut CPQ got. That was kind of nice :-)

I'm hoping for CDWC to hit 60 before I roll down the 75's, of course I'd be happy if it wouldn't stop there and go straight to say .. uh 40. But someone has to be waking up soon on that one. Gosh, look at IM's chart ...

I thought about not rolling down on CPQ, i.e. just taking the money and waiting for a rebound, but I think it is very possible that stock will be in the 20's by April. It has a history of being loved when it is loved and hated when it is hated ...

I bought MSFT office at Ebay the other day for $27 including shipping because of the news story about MSFT cracking down. Did you see it?
MSFT estimated that over 10% of Office copies being sold there were bootleg -- well there is a pretty large volume of sales there on a daily basis (probably what got MSFT interested). Suppose MSFT is wrong and 30% is bootleg, that means 70% of that volume is being sold way below retail from either stores that couldn't sell or packages with PCs that didn't sell. Maybe not a lot when DELL is selling over $4M in computers, but MSFT is looking into it to get it stopped ...

I'm thinking about getting an E-machine or at least something similarly priced locally. I don't need a monitor or speakers, just a good machine that will do the basics and cruise the net ...

Well, I am doing a totally different game, since everything I own in the way of puts are LEAPS of 2001 except for some Schwabs of 2000. The latter were so incredible cheap that I decided to do what for me is reckless gambling, as opposed to conservative gambling.

My thinking is we have a broke roulette wheel that is going to get stuck on red for a while, so I am keeping money on red (PUTS) for the longer term because every so often it's going to hit black and I want to be able to get out after several consecutive red hits.

At some point I might consider pulling everything out of puts and going shorter XLK, or buying XLK puts. Or maybe just banking what I have.
