I just reviewed the PIII specs.

The core takes 14.5 Amps at 2.0V at 450 Mhz
The core takes 16.1 Amps at 2.0V at 500 Mhz

The second level cache takes 1.1 and 1.2 Amps for 450 and 500 Mhz at 3.3V.

So for the 450 Mhz PIII it takes approximately 32.5 Watts.

This is within a few percent of the AMD numbers I believe at 2.4 Volts.

Perhaps you and Paul should aplogise for the crap you posted about the AMD KIII devices last week and their excessive power consumption.
