Oops! Your quibble is not without merit. Of course, single phase.

A mind slip, and evidence of a misspent youth in factories, or maybe from teaching airborne surveillance systems in another era. Or maybe it's from that time I stood too close to one of Con Ed's phase angle regulators while shooting a phase jitter problem on their SCADA/telemetry network? Grins, and fond memories, re all of them.

Back to the short haul electric power line, if the drop is isolated in rural settings, I believe that something could be done with it, once the signal is picked off prior to the transfx. But as for anything more serious than that that you may have inferred, nah... simply mind blasting here, to see what falls out of someone else's brains. Lord knows, this tactic to stimulate discussion has been done enough times to, and by, us all, here.
