Great, thanks for the nomination. Can you please tell the thread what you know about this company? I understand that they are in the fiber optics / laser business, but that is a pretty broad category. Who are their competitors, and how do they stack up against them? Thanks again,

I second this nomination. I have been watching UNPH for a while and am now waiting for an opportunity to dive in and then ride the photonics wave up.

George Gilder has labeled Uniphase as the "Intel of the Telecosm." Just as Intel dominated the "microcosm," we are now entering a new period...the telecosm.

So says Gilder anyway.
