First you loved MBT, then you said "MBT credibility is at an all time low," and now you are back to liking them again. I have pasted some of your prior posts below the one from EEL so other readers can learn that your comments and credibility are worthless to read and that they should not waste their time. By the way, did you receive your apology from Ross Ditlove? You asked for one in your post, remember? I know that insiders like Funk and now yourself are covered if MB Trading gets shut down by regulators; the question is, what about everyone else? What happened at the other Terra Nova branch office when it had its big troubles?

I used to trade at Day Trade Technologies in Seattle, Wa. They were a division of Terra Nova. The company is soon to go out of bussiness. They had this woman named Melissa who was having an affair with the married owner David , who was taking money out of everyones account and putting it into a few select indidvuals accounts so that they could hold over nite trades. I came in one morning to find that I had no buying power, and she told me that she mistakenly took it out of my account,(along with every one elses account in the room.)??? I called Terra Nova and they said that I had signed for the authorization and transfer of funds, which I had not! They also used $200,000 of another individual(chinese woman's) money and promised to pay her back with interest. To my knowledge nothing was done about it. I quit trading there September 1997.

.................I have had good experiences with MBT except for lagging quotes, which has been a problem for many MBT customers. I am considering leaving MBT because of this problem and I know a lot of other people have already left them because of it.

Watley has been highly recommended to me and I am checking them out right now. I have heard good things about Polar and Cyber and bad things about Ex.

Marz,

I saw in the #mbtrading chat room that Ross Ditlove now says they have discovered a problem at Taltrade that is probably causing some of the quotes problems. What irritates me is the way he stonewalled this problem for weeks even tho lots of us were coming into #mbtrading and reporting timeouts and packet losses at Taltrade. MBT credibility is at an all time low with me right now. I'll be interested to see what the fix is and whether we get an apology from Ross Ditlove for bsing a bunch of us repeatedly.

Verbal,

Thanks for the support. Those of us who are dedicated to making it as daytraders can do a lot to help each other out by posting helpful and positive information here. That has always been my goal. I have been real busy working on my own trading skills, but I plan to do more here to help new traders and share my experiences as I used to do.

So much has been made of the occasional software glitches, server problems and internet static that plagues all online brokers, that I think it is worth commenting that anyone who plans to trade on the internet has to learn to adapt, adjust and modify as the situation dictates. All of the technology and software changes practically daily. At least three upgrades of Realtick 3 have come out in the past few months. MBT has been continuously adding new servers, routers and tech people to help with the increasing amount of trades they are handling.

In the eight months I have been a customer of MBT, the thing that has made me so loyal to them is that no matter what goes down, MBT is right there to help. The mIRC chat room lets me know immediately if anything is up. I get help instantly with any question I have, no matter how dumb it is and no matter how unrelated to the actual brokerage work. Ross Ditlove has spent countless hours online, real time, helping me sort out isp problems I have had that had nothing to do with MBT. Anybody who thinks there is a better broker around should check as I have. I see the same kind of problems being mentioned on most of the brokerage threads, but what I don't see is any of the other brokerages offering the kind of service and support that MBT offers.

People who don't day trade obviously have no clue what we are talking about. Online trading is a specialized and unique aspect of securities trading. To do it well one needs the very best of everything. I have found MBT is that for me and so I will continue to exercise my right to support them no matter what kind of irrational, sick, vengeful attacks are made on them.

Good trading!

RickF
