re: Gateway's "free" internet access

I've been checking Gateway's web site for the price of the configuration I recently purchased to go down. Intel announced price cuts on Celeron's after I bought my 400 so I ws hoping for some money back. Well it has gone UP not down - by 50 bucks. But included now is the "free" 1 year gateway.net isp access.

Gateway has revamped their site quite a bit and have 3 categories now ( performance - esential - select (AMD K6 processors) ) I found it awkward to navigate. I was given these choices after I'd already selected enthusiast.

Also of interest. At the top of a each section with actual configurations are configs with Corel Wordperfect suite 8 for 50 bucks less than the same configs with MS Home essentials (listed afterwards).
