I don't know. Just today, "the day that the big blue door opens," I've seen tons of ads for new Pentium III systems. This is the first time in a long time that places like CompUSA have advertised more Intel-based systems than AMD-based ones.

Will people buy them? I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. I've seen fully decked out systems for $1999, though. This starting price is pretty low for a newly-released top-of-the-line chip, even though it's more than your commodity $1000 system.
