Paolo, I was just fooling with trendlines and if you draw a trendline from the 4/98 top and the end of November top on the A/D line, only mid July and early January pop above the trendline. I believe we have made a top of similar significance to the July top, maybe even worse, since the a/d momentum downhill has a whole year behind it now. Sentiment is ugly bullish. As you point out earnings continue to decouple from stocks, as they have since mid/late 96. At some point fundamentals will be re-aligned. I wouldn't want to be in any froth right now -g- bb
