Well Cas,

You may have too many things at once to comprehend, but, you are not dumb! There are NO DUMB questions when it comes to investing real money in the stock market. This is not and should not be a Las Vegas casino. In fact, I don't gamble myself because I don't like (or anyone else) to lose money. I try to be 7 or 8 right out of 10 investment decisions. I think, no I know, I get a thrill hearing about investors (who learned something off this forum) make some money our way. I like when the light comes on and they take off and do well. That just adds one more brain for the think tank down the road.

So, Cas! We are investing in your brain. Slow and steady!
