or has never had a dead line. Its easy to sit around and talk about open standards but as someone who has had to deal with standards bodies they are not always the answer. I have particpated in Davic, IEEE 802, and the ATM Forum and some of these will drive you to proprietary standards.

That said. I dunno how QP fits this mold. (EDIT: thought you were talking QP2 not MS)

You get a scanning program builtin which is more complicated the 95% of the users want. for the other 5% you have standard programming language access with VB or C++. So where's the complaint here.... seems like there are aspects suited for Newbies and power users. How many programs provide that all in one???

EDIT: i see you were talking about Equis in which case I agree. BTW: as you also know text files are not the answer to everything binary formats are more effecient. Equis certainly show totally re-vamp data handling in Metastock. BTW: Technifilter handles lists with ease...
