STB's other products: how much profit there? For obvious reasons, the thread mainly discusses the voodoo line; but what else of interest does STB have going for it? Yes, the flat panels seem very promising. Also, on page 154 of the March "Wired" (release 7.03--breaks are being needed) there is a review of an STB "Desktop VCR", which is a
$300 videoboard that lets folks make DVD movies at home. "Wired" loves it. Makes you wonder what other possibilities are lurking down there in Texas.

Gateway Banshee Card is STB not CREAF

I called Gateway and they told me that the Banshee card is from STB now and not CREAF/Ensonique. The Voodoo 2's they sell are also TNT but then they've always been. Being that TDFX (I believe Sellers) is on record as saying that they had problems with Gateway/CREAF support and given that Gateway is already selling the new STB cards, I am extremely dispappointed that TDFX/STB have not issued a press release announcing the typical PR OEM announcement, smooth transition to new STB supplier, over 75% retail dominance, etc. Investors need this sort of information to assess the success of their OEM/retail business. I shouldn't have to call these guys to find out on my own. Jason, if your reading, what's the holdup. Joe C.
