You are an idiot if you think ML is going to take this shucksters opinion with this speculative gambling bubble?
Get real, More likely, Blodget departure will cause the stock to fall. This happened to me when Doug Lind left PW for MS. Even, if blodget is able to convince ML, to start a similar scam (not ML style), Blodget's departure at Openheimer will be a near term sharp drawback. Good luck!

Good point. This may not have that much effect in this market climate. Amazon has failed, once again, to rally momentum. Despite all the promotion and news that surrounded the announcement of the 46% acquisition of DrugStore.com and the store opening, the stock has not been able to sustain even a modest rally (by historical measures). No doubt having a portion of Merrill's brokers recommending AMZN to their clients will likely have some effect. But I think the response to the expected "strong buy" recommendation, or just a buy, will be muted by the current market conditions.

The trend in Amazon remains down. It will be 60-70, if not lower, by this summer, IMO.
