Some more thoughts on the PC slowdown. Let's hope the market was frozen by the PIII intro, because the other possibilities don't sound pretty. Historically, an Intel processor launch does freeze the market, so that's what I think happened in this case.

You have stated that the K63 is as fast as a Pentium III but the K63 speeds up existing software but the Pentium III doesn't !
