Amy,

Re: AMD exit strategy

As long as Jerry is running the show AMD has a verys simple strategy.

Build competitive parts to Intel and they will do well.

Whenever they have managed to do that they have done well.

As we all know most of the time their execution has sucked and they have done dismally. That's why AMD has been a great trading stock over it's last 30 yrs.

Intel has had a lead for last 5-6 yrs and they have done extraordinarily well.

In terms of an end game if AMD screws up again and is left the crumbs at the low end.

I can see a buyout/merger with a DRAM house.

Some-one like an NEC/Fujitsu/Siemens/Micron/Samsung etc.

I personally think that Japan Inc would love to get a real CPU to leverage with DRAMS and Disk Drives.

I would doubt some-one who is not a semiconductor company would do a buyout.

Just my thoughts,

Regards,

Kash
