(INTC) 119 15/16: DLJ downgrades chip maker from "buy" to "market perform," citing recent evidence that PC market growth in March qtr is not as robust as earlier indications suggested. Firm lowers its FY99 earnings view from $4.65 to $4.50 (-3.2%) and FY00 EPS from $5.45 to $5.30 -2.7%). Reduces price target from $175 to $160 a share. After retreating 7 13/16 on Friday, stock indicated 1 3/8 lower this morning.

NEW YORK, March 1 (Reuters) - Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette
downgraded Intel Corp. to market perform from buy, market
sources said.
-- Said personal computer growth in the March quarter was
not as robust as expected.
-- Cited slower than expected PC market, according to the
sources.
-- Intel closed at 119-15/16 on Friday

Truffie, It will get worse, a downward spiral as lower sales cause price cuts and a glut of AMD/Intel chips occurs. It will hurt both, AMD worse that Intel, perhaps they can help AMD?
