Most here are seeking the truth but won't accept without proof the polly's arguments for bump in the road.

Passing the burden of proof to the other guy? OK. I doubt if there is any way to prove that a disaster will or won't happen next year. I don't bother asking True Believers for "proof" of TEOTWAWKI because none is possible. If its "proof" you're after then you might as well admit that your mind is closed on the subject and you aren't really seeking truth at all because you think you already know it.

Perhaps since you have some software expertise you would comment on the following particularly #7.Try not to attack the messenger just explain why or why not you fit the profile for #7.

It doesn't apply to me. I don't make any claim to being a Y2K expert just because I work in software development. I've never been involved in a Y2K project. I will say that I have always attempted to be mindful of Y2K issues in the projects I worked on, even before the term was coined or the issue was widely known.
