HK Telecom buys Taiwan Internet service provider

HONG KONG, March 2 (Reuters) - Hong Kong Telecommunications Ltd said on Tuesday it has acquired 85 percent of FIC Network Service Inc, a subsidiary of Taiwan's First International Computer Inc , for T$157.25 million (HK$38 million).

FIC Network Service is an Internet service provider in Taiwan but is currently not profitable, Hongkong Telecom said.
