LOCK on FIRE, big news is out-

(COMTEX) B: GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION AWARDS FIVE-YEAR CONTRACT
B: GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION AWARDS FIVE-YEAR CONTRACT

To Saf T Lok Inc. For Handgun Safety Locks

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Saf T Lok Incorporated
(Nasdaq: LOCK) announced today that the U.S. General Services
Administration (GSA), the purchasing arm of the Federal government, has
awarded a five-year contract to Saf T Lok for the company's patented
touch-sensitive combination gun locks for revolvers and semiautomatic
handguns. The contract with the GSA's Federal Supply Service runs from
March 1, 1999 through February 29, 2004.

The contract allows Federal law enforcement and other agencies in all
fifty states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands to
procure Saf T Lok gun locks. Federal agencies will be able to order Saf
T Lok handgun safety locks electronically on the Internet through GSA
Advantage, a menu- driven database system. The contract does not
require the government to purchase any of the company's products and
establishes a maximum of $150,000 per purchase order.

"We are honored that the federal government has determined to make Saf
T Lok handgun safety locks available to its employees whose duties
require them to carry handguns. Our gun locks are the only locks that
can render a loaded handgun inoperable. Yet, the lock can be opened in
seconds, even in the dark. We hope that the government will take full
advantage of this opportunity to eliminate the danger of unauthorized
or accidental discharge of handguns when its agents are off duty."

Saf T Lok, Inc., based in West Palm Beach, FL, manufacturers Saf T
Lok(R) grip locks for revolvers and magazine locks for semiautomatic
handguns. The locks are unique in that they can safely lock a loaded
firearm and prevent unauthorized use. They are completely mechanical
and have been recommended by the Institute for Police Research and
endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police, the Safe and Vault
Technicians Association and the Associated Locksmiths of America. For
