There are two good reasons that in my book will make Metricom a winner. One: their technical support is available, helpful, and courteous. Two: The Ricochet system is fast, trouble free, uncluttered, and no waiting to get on the internet. I have been using Ricochet for about 2 1/2 years after trying other servers and modems, and would not entertain any thoughts about switching to another server. There will come a time when MCOMs range will cover other areas. Satellite receiving stations sound intriguing, an could broaden coverage. It would sure enhance my investment.
