Yes, I suppose the NYC real estate mkt is more closely tied to the S&P than any other.

I wonder if others here can corroborate what you're saying, ie that real estate prices are not skyrocketing around the country?..dave.

inflation and real estate - alive and well in california

I have some "excess" property in san diego and san francisco. at least these two areas have experienced *extreme* inflationary pressures in the last 2-4 years to the tune of 40% FMV value increase!!! personally, if this inflation takes to the rest of the country it may cause some serious discomfort...
