I think the second sentence needs to be revised for a more important reason. The writer says that the A/D line is a good predictor of the market in the first sentence. In the second sentence the writer says that the A/D line has followed the market for the (past - that's wrong too, should be last) two years. Following the market is easy, predicting the market is something else, entirely, and much more difficult.
