Mike,

I agree, even with the flaws, it is an excellent site. But skimping on the fact checking and the editing for grammar and spelling is just dumb, and reduces their credibility with anyone who doesn't already agree with them.

Speaking of the politically correct, there've been some interesting articles in the past couple of weeks, starting with Paul Weyrich's, about the culture war that's been raging under the surface these past several decades. Someone just wrote in internet article comparing America with a battered woman, repeatedly assaulted, no longer able to make moral judgements or even accurately assess reality. It's absolutely brilliant, and really terrifying, if you think of it. From the broad panorama of history, we may have already reached the point where all the king's horses and all the king's men can no longer put this back together. The Clintons, and our collective response, are a major step down on the path of civilizational decline, and leave us a bit like a mighty tree in the forest, that's rotted and decayed within.

Peter

Mike-and-Will, parsing of words is not "politically correct." It is essential to accurate communication. Inaccurate language is no more helpful to the reader than lies are, because it is unreliable. Incorrect statements of fact are worthless. I do agree that deconstruction of language is a tool of the left, though it's a useful tool, and not at all the same thing as parsing words.
