mindmeld - My understanding of the Lehman downgrade of Sun and HP is they expect enterprises to defer purchases of highend computer equipment until the year 2000 to insure against Y2K problems. Will enterprises defer purchases of networking equipment do the same thing? I think nobody knows the answer. Businesses might defer some purchases but I doubt carriers or ISPs will defer purchases because the competition is so intense they can't afford to do that. What do you think? Ken
