Zebra...thank you for the update on Astra/Zeneca...

One more positive step forward for an expanded Muse sales staff in Europe....

Maybe one step closer to Astra/Zeneca signing on as the USA partner for Vivus in the USA as well....time will tell.

Zebra,

>The approval of EU antitrust regulators was one of the hurdles that Zeneca, a British company, and Astra of Sweden had to pass before merging.>

You don't know how good this news is! FWIW and just gossip but I was told be a colleague who collaborates with a Zeneca lab that they saw it as a distinct possibility that the merger would be blocked by the EU!

I was told today in a brief message that Astra could not confirm that there was a meeting last week and could not reveal details about any such meeting if it took place. I was however told that there would not be discussions on marketing strategy of any product until the merger had taken place. (Anyone wants this or any other source future/past, please send me private message)

Zebra,

Why do you get worked up about this question of splitting viagra pills in two and about how the drug is distributed? If it is true that the drug is unevenly distributed this will compound errors associated with the splitting itself. Pfizer have been unhelpful and vague in their statements about the splitting, they refused to confirm that the pill was homogeneous but at the same time said there was no danger from splitting. If my doctor were to prescribe me viagra and advise splitting to save on cost as is happening here in UK I would expect him to do better than guess the answer to my question on distribution.

When is US approval due? Shareholders Vote? I know it was posted. Was it this month?
