Cornered Weasel Award nomination goes to... Credit Card Companies. Why are they worthy? Let me count the ways... 1. For requiring and collecting all sorts of personal data which they then fail to protect. The inevitable result is that identities are stolen and cards are used fraudulently. 2. For using those same "fraud" losses to justify their high interest rates. 3. For selling their cardholder lists (personal data, fraud and all) to anyone with a mailbox and then screaming when their "right" to do so is threatened. Yep. Definite weasels. Jean

David, Two articles in my paper today on Identity Theft. One is a tragic story of how it ruined a gal's life....and the other was a list of things to do....and not to do. Both were Knight Ridder (syndicated) stories....so I'm sure they appeared in many newspapers. You remember identity theft....right David?......You are the David I think you are......right? bg ps. Once again....the specialist is doing a wonderful job handling all of the Identix volume today......He may get a Wendell for his heroic efforts.
