This is a joke right? Tell me you are joking.

vs. a sweeping statement that loosely associates rapists and pro-life people.

>>t is quite a stretch to go from the
equivalent of NOWs (or anybody's) judgement on how to deal with some
alleged crimes (or misconduct) by an individual whether it is Clinton,
Starr or Thomas, vs. a sweeping statement that loosely associates
rapists and pro-life people. <<

A sweeping statement that loosely associates rapists and pro-life people? I'll assume that you meant pro-choice here. But to your obvious point. He didn't say or imply any such association. The object of the statement was to NOW's hypocrisy on this issue. It wasn't by the way a "serious" comment. It was an off the cuff remark(aptly placed nontheless) to the effect of "Gee what's wrong you feminist groups anyway, even an accused rapist gets off as long as the guy supports your political view" kind of thing. Ireland has in fact come out and stated that Broaddrick should be treated with the respect that any victim of a violent crime should get. Yet this same person doesn't seem to get the idea the the perp, Bill Clinton is yet again being let off the hook by NOW.
