Iridium lowers Q1 projections
WASHINGTON, March 1 (Reuters) - Iridium, which in November became the world's first global satellite phone and paging company, on Monday said its first-quarter financial results will fall short of projections following delays after the company launched service.
The company did not disclose its prior first-quarter expectations. A company representative was unavailable for comment.

However, Iridium said it expects to work with it banks to modify its $800 million credit agreement.

The company stressed that shortages of phones, pagers and fully-trained sales people created the delays, not the level of market demand.

Shares of Iridium closed down 1-7/8 Monday to 24-3/8.
