Marc, You make a very compelling argument no doubt. Perhaps Linux someday may compete in some areas against windows. "Splintering" the market, does not help the consumer, remember BETAMAX? There can be only one "main stream" OS.........and my money is on GATES......like I said, LINUX may have its application, just as OPEN VMS and UNIX. Until LINUX can "think" for the "average joe".....Windows will dominate the market. Just to keep us on topic, where is athm going? RichieH Intellectual debate is good!
