What numbers have you been seeing.

Dell's sales have been growing at more than a 55% CAGR and still are growing at that rate (looking back).

Their rate of growth is significantly greater than the rest of the industry.

i.e. More than 3.5 times as fast as their sector, but the market had wanted them to do more than 3.6 times the sector; thus creating a buying opportunity in the eyes of the bulls; and a selling opportunity in the eyes of the bears who think that DELL deserves a smaller multiple for falling a bit short on revenues while meeting earnings estimates.

Nortel got cut in half last year for a similar stunt; except their ex-CFO blew it in describing the situation to the analysts. All the same, Nortel has doubled from the beating handed it by Wall Street last fall.

Dell will recover, IMO, and so will the Equipment sector.
