Hi Jim, I've only sold the shares that I'd have sold anyway at these same prices. It's part of my business plan. If the deal fails, I've recovered some cash for the future, if it goes through, well I could have made a bit more on this 14% of my position that I've sold.

To have a serious and not "rumored" offer on the table is nice. We've all known that the "efficient" stock market was proving inefficient in VLSI's case in recent times. Just because a handful of "analysts" didn't like VLSI didn't mean that they were not continuing to manage their business in spite of what was happening in the world economy.

I'd say that the market was as grossly inefficient in VLSI's case as it's been on the other side with several "internet" stocks. The nice thing about the market is that the pendulum eventually swings.

Thanks so much for your great guidance with VLSI over the years. I truly appreciate the time and personal effort you've devoted while keeping your ear to the ground.

Sincerely, Tom
