<<SI does not time-out the connection.>> I would have tested it, but I have a dedicated connection so I wasn't able. It just means that SI's authentication scheme is very basic. However, they could still easily create the application in question by simple logging your IP address when you first authenticate and then having the application ping your IP periodically. If you disconnect from your server, you lose your IP and get marked as off-line. When there is activity from your user name, your last IP address entry is compared to your where the activity is coming from and update if necessary. jw steve
