to those who find this thread interesting you might want to check out this one as well relating to an index on the hottest internet blue chips. techstocks.com Here the description: Well I'm trying to create it because it hasn't been done! I was looking for an internet only index to invest in but couldn't find one. I thought I found one with the launch of the of the street.com's index which starts trading tommorow ($DOT), to later find it's options only. So here's the deal. I'm creating my own equally weighted index of what I believe will be the top internet or strongly internet related companies and creating an investment unit trust for my personal investment. I'm investing $100,000 of real money in this trust. The goal is to have the final list created by 12-20-98 so I can have time to create the trust for myself for the new year. Others can do the same. Everybody make a list of only 10 companies which you beleive will not only be around 10 years from now but may be worth 10 times as much. Give a brief statement with why you believe it will be so great next to the company. I will post my final top 10 when the trust is created. As a start I will give the prelimiminary list which I just threw together as a starting point. Look forward to everyones list, Rob
