The only area I disagree with you on is the people He is reproaching in this text are the religous self righteous not sinners. He actually was blasted by these men for forgiving the prostitute so the people on these threads that have forgoten the love of God but are caught up in their own righteousness and are the ones He is rebuking. We are to keep the inside of our hearts clean by not condemning those outside of the faith then we will be clean on the outside. For God so loved the world.
