Rofl! Oh yes Bill Vaughn and I are of one mind on many matters - NOT! But with regards to msft, almost everyone thinks you need to look at each mkt space separately - then of course you can disagree within those.... but there are really only a few extreme viewpoints that think msft should be completely shut down or continue to gallop along.

Specifically, taking NT as a product vs. say, the IE browser. NT is gaining mkt share against unix - why? Its not a case of leverage since one OS is displacing another (linux notwithstanding). Enterprise software embraced NT to avoid all the unix variants - a problem brought about by an inability for the unix vendors to agree on anything, etc. Otoh in the browser wars there is certainly something there, almost everyone I know sees msft as a mixed bag of corporate ethics, despite what the msft-bashers want to portray with Ballmer and everybody else as pawns of the evil Bill. So, I suspect you and Bill Vaughn both share this view and *agree* on matters here... he he he
