Did your broker read his analyst report to you or waS THAT HIS INTERPRETATION....i IN NO WAY AGREE WITH THE pAINE wEBER ANALYST, BUT i HEARD HIS CALL LIVE.....HE IS SAYING THE CYCLICAL BULL MARKET IN P.C.'S IS OVER.....THAT WON'T END IN 6 MONTHS BASED ON THAT ARGUMENT...i THINK HE IS SMOKING SOMETHING. i BELIEVE THAT COMPBINING NT2000, THE INTERNET, AND AUDIO/VIDEO STREAMING, THIS (sorry about the caps) upgrade cycle is just beginning...it should also be fueled by the p3,merced, then mckinley and our cpq alpha chip as well.....
IMHO, any computer that is over 1 month old today will resemble a 386 compared to what they'll be selling at the local store in a couple of years.
by the way, the net appeal to the market isn't primarily based on the apps for internet chat on yahoo or aol, it is for business use, and that will require a meaty computer to take advantage of the apps that will be mainstream in a couple of years.
Anyone have any thoughts on these comments?
